It's Friday and that means it's time to celebrate the small stuff. :)
I've not been very active in the blogosphere of late. There has just been so much going on what with Nano and the loss of our wonderful rottie hooch. I'm just starting now to try and get back on track.
So I guess the first celebration today is for brushing myself off, taking a deep breath and moving forward :)
I would also like to celebrate completing the 50k word count for Nano a couple of days ahead of target. I really didn't think I was going to make it this year due to a lack of writing after my baby died but I somehow managed to pull myself together enough to get it done.
In life we have some amazing souls come into our world. My dog Hooch was one of those such souls. He helped change so many peoples opinions about Rottweilers and was truly the gentlest and most loving dog you could ever hope to meet. I guess God has really been in need of angels this last couple of months as so many lovely souls have gone to heaven, including Paul Walke, his poor friend Roger Rodas and just last night the amazing Nelson Mandela. So I would also like to celebrate the amazing souls that touch our lives, either as our pets, friends, family, actors who entertain us or amazing individuals who inspire us.
R.I.P to all those who have gone home to God you will all be greatly misses.
Life can be so fleeting and we have to make the best of each day, doing what we can to stay positive. I am so lucky to have some amazing friends who help me to keep smiling and so I'd also like to take the time to celebrate friendship and companionship, both online and offline.
So that's my celebrations this week, what's yours?
Love and hugs Joss xx

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your Hooch. Dogs are such wonderful family members and it's so hard to say goodbye! This is a lovely tribute to him.
ReplyDeleteAnd your photos are fun, what a great thing to celebrate.
Life is indeed fleeting, we should do all we can to enjoy it and our loved ones. Beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for the loss of your Hooch. Congrats on succeeding with Nano.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to hear about your loss --Hooch looks like he was a terrific member of the family. I congratulate you for moving forward. I'm celebrating 1.) living at the beach in California, 2.) finding out my tooth does not have to be pulled--it's a sinus infection!, and 3.) having my YA horror story, Death House, get accepted for publishing (woo hoo!), and the release of my short story, "Christmas After All" in A Touch of Winter anthology. Happy Holidays and keep happy by remembering all the joy Hooch brought you.
