I was playing around yesterday trying to come up with a cover for Insane Reno, it probably won't be the official cover, but I wanted to put up a the first chapter for people to read in my online writers cafe Jumpin' jitter's writing cafe on secondlife.
So in order to do that I had to come up with a cover for display purposes.
this is what I came up with ....
I was quite please with my handy work as I lost a lot of my pictures of bodmin moor when my old laptop died on me, and so didnt have many left which i had taken myself so picking were pretty slim and the best I had really wasn't great.
So here is what I started with....
Joss, this is a great cover! Well done! I get very creative when it comes to my novels and characters, although I have never attempted to do my own cover. You have inspired me! Keep creating. :)

I liked it at first, but I like it even more now that I see what you started with. Daydreaming about the cover is such fun for writers.
ReplyDeleteawww I'm glad you like it Melissa, I made the cover so that I could put it up at my writers cafe on second life, in order that other people could click it and get an extract from the book, I also put floating text above it that tracks the word count so people could see how it was growing.
ReplyDeleteI now have another set up the same for Annie which i have just started working on its a really good way to help motive others as they see how my word count grows and are inspired to see there's grow too.
I don't know if you have ever used Secondlife but there is a great writing community on there, and its a great place to advertise your work and make new frieds,, if you ever take a look i'd love to see you at Jumpin' Jitters love and hugs joss xx
awww I'm really pleased you liked it Christine, I wasn't sure myself how it would ocme out when I first started playing with it, but I was pleasantly surprised. thank you for stopping by and commenting it really means a lot to me to know that people are reading what I am writing.
